OLOT, FESTES DEL TURA

En el mes de setembre es celebra la festa major d'Olot, dedicada a la Mare de Déu del Tura.

Qui vulgui entendre bé què és “El Tura” ha de gaudir de la cercavila dels gegants, nans i

cavallets, i de bona part de la faràndula de la ciutat que s'inicia a l'edifici de l'Hospici i que recorre els principals carrers del centre de la ciutat. És molt recomanable

veure aquests personatges de

fantasia en carrers estrets com ara el carrer dels Sastres o bé en punts

característics de la ciutat com ara el Firal, Sant Esteve o la plaça Major. També, és

recomanable afegir-se a la

comitiva oficial i als sardanistes olotins per anar fins al santuari del Tura, a fer l'ofrena flora a la patrona.

I, per arrodonir-ho tot plegat, cal passejar pel carrer Major i el Firal, on hi ha les barraques, que son el lloc on es presenten els concerts,

els balls amb un ampli servei per menjar i beure.

Els carrers s'emplenen de gent que hi passeja amunt i avall. A tot arreu es respira un ambient de festa, animat amb músiques de tota varietat.

Molts dels ciutadans ens retrobem després de les vacances de l'estiu.
